Tucson marks 50 years since deadly explosion

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Friday was the 50th anniversary of what was Tucson's deadliest fire-related event.

The Supreme Cleaners explosion in 1963 claimed seven lives and injured more than 30 people at the plant, located at 2332 N. Stone Avenue.

The fire was determined to be a gas-related incident, which led to two explosions.
