Apartment fire from Eucalyptus branches now under control

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Northwest Fire responded near Orange Grove and Oracle for a debris fire.

Capt. Adam Goldberg said a 50 by 60 pile of Eucalyptus branches caught fire around 8:15 p.m. in the middle of the Park Place Apartments at 11 E. Orange Grove.

The commander on the scene called a second alarm around 8:35 p.m. when buildings became involved.

A window next to the branches even melted (pictured right).

The fire department now says the fire is under control and cancelled the second alarm.
