Homeland Security says it's reevaluating plans to furlough border patrol agents and cut overtime because of the automatic federal budget cuts.
The agency said it is postponing those plans for at least two weeks because a new spending bill passed by Congress is now easing some of the sequestration effects.
The furloughs were expected to begin as soon as later this month.
