Child sex offender, possible child abuser arrested

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Tucson Police Department investigation discovered a Tucson man to be an offender involved in the distribution of child pornography and possible child abuse.

This February, the Tucson Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit discovered Jessvan Hernandez, 29, had been sending pictures of child porn through a computer at a residence in the 1400 block of North Highland Avenue.

According to Sergeant Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department, detectives issued a search warrant on March 28 at Hernandez's home. They discovered he had illegally downloaded and distributed child sex images.

Hernandez was booked into the Pima County Jail for four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators were continuing to look into whether Hernandez had sexually abused multiple children throughout the last five years.

Detectives believe they have located and identified all reported victims.

The investigation was ongoing.
