TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for arranging to meet a 13-year-old girl and pay her for sex.

According to the Tucson Police Department, Alexander Zumot contacted the girl on Facebook and portrayed himself as younger than his actual age of 24. Zumot allegedly arranged to meet her to engage in sexual acts, for which he would pay her, police say.

Police believe Zumot may have had contact with other juvenile victims. Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

The victim's mother reported to police that she found inappropriate conversations between her daughter and an adult male on Facebook.

According to police, the U.S. Marshal's Child Predator Apprehension Team and Tucson Police detectives arrested Zumot when he arrived at a location allegedly to meet the victim.

Zumot was booked into the Pima County Jail for one count each of aggravated luring a minor for sex, unlawful age misrepresentation and attempted child prostitution.
