Former convict arrested for gun sales

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A man in the Tucson area was booked into the Pima County jail for pawning and selling numerous firearms.

Dwayne Wynne, 45, was discovered to be a prohibited possessor, as he has a previous felony conviction.

The Tucson Police Department's Major Theft Offenders Unit launched their investigation on March 20 and retrieved more than 40 guns that he had sold or pawned at pawnshops and gun stores throughout Tucson.

Detectives served a search warrant of Wynne's residence in the 2200 block of E. Hendrick Drive on March 21, where they seized seven firearms and small amounts of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. 

Wynne was arrested on 60 counts of prohibited possessor.

Further charges were pending.
