Tucson Police were back on the scene of the shooting on the south side this morning. Detectives with the investigation were seen searching trash cans, likely looking for evidence in the shooting, before the trash was dumped.
The TPD gang unit is heading up the shooting investigation that has left one 22-year-old dead, and another possible victim in critical condition at a local hospital.
Police say a group of people got into a fight in the street near 32nd St. and Fremont Ave. Shots were fired just after 9 p.m.
When police arrived on scene, they found the 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound laying in the street. First responders tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators then learned of a possible second victim who went to the hospital with a bullet wound. Authorities say that person is in critical condition.
No suspects have been identified.
Authorities are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to call 911 or 88-Crime.
