PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Peoria police say a man who left his group home Wednesday afternoon has returned safely.

Celestino Valencia, 28, suffers a mental illness that can cause him to become violent, officers said.

The illness also prevents him from caring for himself.

Valencia disappeared from the group home near 89th Avenue and Union Hills at 3:30 p.m. After a two day search, he returned to the home on his own Friday and is in good condition, according to Peoria police.
