Happening tomorrow, a fun way for kids to get outside and learn how to eat healthy.
The Children's Museum Tucson is getting ready for "Let's Get Fit" tomorrow, which is focusing on keeping children healthy and active. This is just one event in a long-term, wide-spread fight against obesity.
Some of the latest health studies have found in the past decade boys and girls are eating from four to seven percent fewer calories a day. Of course doctors have link obesity to a number of other problems, diabetes, hypertension and cardiac disease.
All of these tie in to the mission for tomorrow's "Let's Get Fit!"
There is about two dozen activities for kids, from cooking demonstrations, planting and taking home a tomato plant, to kid friendly exercises. There will be information for parents as well.
The museum is expecting more than 3,000 people attending the event. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., inside, outside and all around the Children's Museum Tucson.
