3 arrested for drug trafficking in Brown Co.

Three people have been arrested for drug trafficking in Brown County.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant after an ongoing undercover drug investigation at a residence on Hillcrest Road in Mt. Orab.

On April 10, 2013 at approximately 3:30 p.m.,, deputies arrived at the residence to execute the search warrant.  Upon execution, deputies discovered a marijuana grow operation inside the residence. 

Deputies confiscated 49 marijuana plants and arrested three individuals living at the residence. Donna Covert, 56, Shane Trent 31, and Dawn Kidd, 30, are all charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, illegal assembly of chemicals to manufacture drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, and four counts of trafficking drugs.

Investigators say the suspects were involved in trafficking prescription medications in addition to the marijuana.  All subjects remain in custody at the Brown County Adult Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on the charges.

    The Tucson Police Department is asking for the public's help locating 17-year-old Anthony Garcia. The teen is described as Hispanic, 5'10" tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Although he is in his late teens, according to the release, he has special needs and functions at a much younger age.
