The Southeastern Arizona D.U.I. Task Force will deploy in Cochise County to emphasize the seriousness of drinking and driving.
Sheriff Mark Dannels announced that the county will have extra saturation patrols and checkpoints, beginning this weekend.
The Governors' Office of Highway Safety will help fund the extra law enforcement.
Officers from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, Sierra Vista Police Department, Douglas Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Sheriff's Assist Team and Tombstone Fire Department will all work in a collaborative effort to reduce drinking and driving throughout Southern Arizona.
