Trial scheduled to begin for driver in double fatal crash

WALTON, KY (FOX19) -

Trial is scheduled to begin Monday for the driver in a 2011 Boone County crash that killed two women.

Logan Ellis, 23, of Nancy, Ky. is accused of two counts of manslaughter and other charges following the deaths of Heather Stanley, 21, and Stacy Hopkins, 43. The accident occurred in December 2011 in the 10,000 block of U.S. 25 in Walton.

Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
