Todd Hezlitt to be sentenced today

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Happening today, a former middle school wrestling coach is being sentenced for having sex with a student and taking her to Mexico.

Inside the courthouse, 39-year-old Todd Hezlitt has already pleaded guilty to the charges, now he will find out how long he'll be behind bars.

The former wrestling coach, from Altar Valley Middle School was first arrested in April 2012, for having a relationship with the 16-year-old girl.  But once released, police say he took off to Mexico with her and was not captured until July when the girl turned herself in at the U.S. Consulate in Mazatlan. 

Hezlitt pleaded guilty when the trail started, his sentence today could be between three years to almost 13 years in prison.
