PCSD speaks on Boston attacks

Pima County Sheriff's Department Deputy Tom Peine made a statement on behalf of the department in regards to the Boston Marathon explosions:

The men and women of the Pima County Sheriff's Department would like to express their sympathy to all those who have been affected by the explosions at the Boston Marathon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims of this horrible tragedy. The Sheriff's Department recognizes citizen's concerns in light of the IED explosions in Boston. At this time Tucson area explosives specialists are watching developments in Boston closely. Regular updates are being reviewed from multiple sources.  The citizens of Pima County are asked to remain vigilant and report suspicious persons or items to 9-1-1 immediately. Currently there is no information of a threat to Tucson or Pima County. In the meantime, local law enforcement and our federal partners are working diligently to keep citizens safe.
