Man dead, woman injured after Westwood shooting

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A man is dead and a woman is injured following an overnight shooting in Westwood.

Police responded to the 2700 block of Eugenie Lane just before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning after reports of gunshots.

Shortly after the reported gunshots, a shooting victim arrived at Mercy Western Hills Hospital by private vehicle.

The victim was transferred to UC Medical Center where he died from the injuries.

Authorities have identified the victim as 23-year-old Kendall Chapple Jr.

Police say a second female victim was taken to Christ Hospital a short time later by private vehicle. The 25-year-old female sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Homicide units are investigating the incident. Police believe the shootings are drug related.
