Mesa PD: Screams from trunk raise suspicions

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A witness who heard screams coming from near the trunk area of a vehicle told authorities it sounded like a woman needing help, Mesa police said.

Officers said two men inside the vehicle had asked for directions to the parking lot exit at 645 Country Club Rd. in Mesa at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The witness said the screaming continued as the car drove away.

The vehicle is described as a large, four-door, gold-colored passenger vehicle, possibly a Crown Victoria style.

Both the suspects are described as white and about 25 years old. Both men were dressed in all black.

The driver of the vehicle had hair described as spikey and the passenger was wearing a blue hat, possibly a baseball cap or pork tie-style hat.

Mesa police ask anyone with information to supply it through "submit a tip" on CrimeReports.com. Refer to report number 20131060690.
