TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - On Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tucson Homeless Connect will have its tenth one-day, one-stop event at Trinity Presbytarian Church.
Homeless individuals and families will be offered the opportunity to receive I.D.s, clothing, health screenings, mental health information, haircuts, housing help, VA benefits, employment and other benefits, said Dee-Dee Samet from Tucson Homeless Connect.
Mayor Jonathan Rothschild will be there in addition to 50 others who will provide lunch and van transportation.
At the last Tucson Homeless Connect event, there were 55 providers, 150 volunteers and an estimated 300 guests in attendance.
