Controlled Benson brushfire burning near Pomerene

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A brush fire near Benson was burning around 7:30 p.m. Friday, but it has been controlled, Benson Police say.

Cochise County Sheriff's spokesperson Carol Capas said there have been multiple calls, asking about the fire.

There have been no requests to evacuate the area north of Interstate 10 around milemarker 306. The fire is burning in a river wash near Pomerene.
