UA student molested on campus, police say

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A woman was molested on the University of Arizona campus Saturday morning, campus police told Tucson News Now.

The student was walking on the bike path near James E. Rogers Way and Park Avenue around 9:15 a.m. when she was approached from behind, police said.

The suspect, described as 25-35, 6-foot-2-inches tall and 150-175 pounds, grabbed the woman's buttocks and tried to throw her to the ground, police said.

The man was wearing a dark brown T-shirt with sleeves removed, the victim told police. He had tan or khaki cargo shorts and a beige field hat.

No weapons were seen or implied, and the victim was not injured, police said.

UA police are investigating.
