Broadway In Tucson announces new season

TUCSON (Tucson News Now) - We are getting a first look at Broadway in Tucson's upcoming 10th Anniversary season.

Among the shows coming to town: "American Idiot," the smash musical based upon the Grammy- award winning album by Green Day.  It tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia.

Also headed to Tucson is "Sister Act," a new show adapted from the hit Whoopi Goldberg movie, and "The Wizard of Oz," based upon the Hollywood classic.

Another highlight takes audiences back into TV's golden age.  "I Love Lucy" re-creates how one of television's most beloved sitcoms was filmed before a live studio audience.

More details on the upcoming shows are on the Broadway In Tucson website.
