Tucson bridge repair to cause lane reduction on Alvernon

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A Tucson Bridge repair is expected to cause slight traffic changes Thursday.

Repairs on the inside lanes leading up to the Alvernon Way Bridge, north of Ajo, will reduce northbound Alvernon traffic to one lane on April 24. Southbound lanes are not expected to be affected.

The Pima County Department of Transportation says the work is expected to be completed in one day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The department cautions drivers to obey traffic control devices.
