Ex-teacher gets prison in child sex case

A former Paradise Valley High School teacher who was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old female student last year has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison.

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge also sentenced Jordan Doneskey to lifetime probation on Wednesday.

He previously pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

Doneskey was arrested last August. He taught English at Paradise Valley High and had been at the school since 2009.

He must register as a sex offender and forfeit his teaching certificate.
