Dirty Dining Apr. 25: Worst violator has 9 major violations

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Every week CBS 5 News is sent a list of restaurants that have been recently inspected by Maricopa County's Environmental Services Department.

CBS 5 News selects five restaurants with some of the highest number of risk factors.

According to health inspectors, risk factors are considered major health code violations. For more details on the restaurant inspection scoring system, visit http://www.maricopa.gov/.

    The latest Arizona economic report shows jobs are increasing statewide and the unemployment rate is dropping, although it's still above the federal figures. And while the state has every reason to celebrate the good news, things are not as stellar in southern Arizona.

    “The concealment of narcotics inside the body is an extremely dangerous method often attempted by smugglers,” said John Schwamm, San Luis Port Director.  “It can be instantly fatal should the narcotics seep through the packaging and be absorbed into the body.”
