PCC forums with chancellor finalists begin today

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Pima Community College will hold public forums with each finalist in the search for a new chancellor.

The forums will be held tonight through May 2 in the Community Board Room (C-105) of PCC's District Office at 4905 East Broadway. Each forum begins at 5:30 p.m.

For those who can't attend, the forums will be streamed live on the web from the PCC's Chancellor Search page: http://www.pima.edu/about-pima/chancellor-search/index.html

The schedule:

  • Monday, April 29: Lee D. Lambert, J.D.
  • Tuesday, April 30: Terrence J. Burgess, Ph.D.
  • Wednesday, May 1: Greg P. Smith, Ph.D.
  • Thursday, May 2: Elñora Tena Webb, Ph.D.

Each candidate will meet with PCC employees before each public forum. These meetings will be from 3-4 p.m. in the Community Board Room, and will be streamed live on the Web.

    William Huff terrorized Sierra Vista during the spring and summer of 1967. Despite a sentence of 40 years to life, the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency voted to release him from prison into home arrest. Family members of the victims are concerned for the safety of the community, as are new members of the Clemency Board. CBS 5 Investigates videotaped Huff riding a bike through his Tucson neighborhood. There are no restrictions placed on his proximity to children.
