HEREFORD, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Ten people are under arrest after federal and local agencies found more than 500 pounds of pot inside a home in the 9400 block of Kedron Road in Hereford.

Sierra Vista Police say a joint investigation on Friday led to the bust, which also involved the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, Naco Border Patrol, Douglas Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Investigators say they tracked several people carrying suspicious bundles near Smith Road in Hereford and load them onto a pickup truck.  Authorities tracked the pickup truck to the home in Hereford.

After obtaining a warrant, detectives found a total of 24 bundles of marijuana with a combined weight of more 535 pounds.  Detectives also located two firearms and several items of drug paraphernalia.

Two individuals at the property were arrested on several charges: David Dominico Suarez, 24, and Andraya Rochelle Schaffner, 26.  Border Patrol later arrested eight other suspects from Mexico who had been observed carrying the bundles of marijuana that were loaded into the pickup truck.
