PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Arizona's court system is no stranger to murder trials, even high-profile ones.

In the last couple of years, the Baseline Killer has been convicted and self-help guru James Ray locked up for his part in the sweat lodge tragedy that killed three people. But even those can't hold a candle to the spectacle that is the Jodi Arias murder trial.

She's got major social media attention. Type "#JodiArias" into your Twitter search bar and you'll find thousands of tweets about the case. Arias has trended on Twitter several times during the trial.

She even supposedly has her own Twitter page @JodiAnnArias, managed by a friend on the outside.

People line up every day starting at 4 a.m. to get one of the seats inside the courtroom. They come from across the country and take time off work to watch the trial in person.

You'd expect a murder trial to be graphic, but no one could have predicted the sexual nature of this case.

They have played a phone sex call over and over again between Arias and the man she would eventually kill, Travis Alexander.

They showed explicit photos Arias and Alexander took of each other. And there have been dirty text messages.

Testimony started on Jan. 2, and four months later the jurors finally have the case.

Many witnesses testified for weeks at a time, including Arias who was on the stand for 18 days. Even when the verdict is handed down, the trial isn't over yet. Some say the penalty phase, the part where the jurors could give Arias the death penalty, could last another month.
