Sen. John McCain will host a town hall in Oro Valley today and many are expected to attend. Immigration is expected to be a hot topic in the meeting.
Supporters of immigration reform are planning to gather outside the offices of Sen. Jeff Flake and McCain to deliver letters noting the importance of this issue moving forward.
McCain's town hall is making up for one he canceled a few weeks ago. McCain abruptly canceled his town hall at BASIS School in Oro Valley at the end of March.
No reason was given for the cancellation.
McCain says it's a chance for constituents to discuss issues they feel affect Arizona.
With immigration reform a hot topic here in Southern Arizona, many expect this to top the list of subjects.
The town hall is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the BASIS School in Oro Valley, 11155 North Oracle Road.
Tucson News Now's Matt Mendes will be at the event. He can be followed on Twitter at @MattMendesTNN.
