Three East Texans arrested after drug and weapons raid

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A law enforcement raid lands three East Texans in jail on drug and weapons charges.

Longview Code Agents arrested 34-year-old Amos Simmons, 38-year-old Stasha Benfield and 37-year-old James Peery, after they found methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and weapons inside a home in the 400-block of Gayle Street on Thursday.

The trio is held on charges ranging from possession of a controlled substance to unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

All are held on bonds between 20-to-30-thousand dollars.
