The family of Robert Pena reached out to the community this morning. They began a walk in memory of him.
The leads in the case have dried out. So the family felt that a walk in the neighborhood where Pena was murdered would help.
The group began at Mission Manor Park and walked to the Circle K at 6th Ave and Valencia. That is the location where Pena was found by Tucson Police laying on the ground back in April of 2011. He would be transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Going back to the location of the incident brought back memories for the family. "It is tough, my brother and I when we were over there was still remnants of what had happened," said Joseph Savalas the victim's brother.
The family members held posters with Pena's name and face. They're hoping that the walk will encourage someone to step up an give information that will lead to arrest.
If you have any information about the case your asked to call 911 or 88-crime.
We will have more details and information on the Robert Pena case on KOLD News 13 at 6pm on Tuesday, as part of Tucson's Most Wanted.
