Tucsonans took to the streets of downtown Tucson for Cinco de Mayor weekend celebrations. At the same time... law enforcement is out in full force keeping the streets safe.
About 50 extra officers are scattered throughout the city looking for drunk drivers. Saturday night, they focused much of their efforts on the southside because of a concert.
As of 9 p.m., Pima County Sheriff's Deputies had stopped four people for driving under the influence.
If you're going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a few drinks, your best bet is to get a designated driver or call a cab.
Taxi services in Tucson say the night is already picking up.
"A ten fold at least. It's just a massive amount of people," said cab driver, Nathan Wilson.
"It's better than drinking and driving unless you want to pay $3,000 on a DUI," said cab driver Daniel Figueroa. "You're better taking a taxi, getting home safe and picking up your car in the morning."
