PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police have charged 50-year-old Pastor Kenneth Farr with two counts of felony sexual conduct with a minor after a 16-year-old church member told authorities he had a year-long sexual relationship with her.

"This is a guy that we trusted for more than eight years. He was like a father figure. He's a pastor. A mentor. A teacher. You don't do things like this," said Toni, the victim's mother, who only wanted to use her first name.

According to court documents, the relationship started in May of 2012. The 16-year-old teenager says Farr, who is the senior pastor at Garden of Paradise Ministries in central Phoenix, had sexual encounters with her at least 11 times, including inside the church, at his home and on the church bus.

"When I heard it, I was destroyed. The first thing I knew to do is call the police," Toni said.

Farr has been in jail since March 26 but the victim and her mother decided to speak exclusively with CBS 5 News because they said they believe there are other victims that have not come forward.

"If Kenny ever did anything else to anyone else underage, I would advise them to come out so justice can be served to them," said the 16-year-old victim.

"It's not right for them to walk around with that burden on their mind, so I think they should come forth. I think he should go down," she continued.

CBS 5 News stopped by the address listed on the church's website, but the address was incorrect. The phone number listed on their site routed to the wrong person.

Farr, who is still behind bars at Lower Buckeye jail, is due back in court on July 3.

For the first time, shopper in America are likely to make more purchases on line than in brick and mortar stores. It's a shift which has been coming for years but this is likely to be the first time it's crossed the threshold. While the effect on big retailers can be mitigated somewhat by on line offerings, it's not quite as easy on smaller, local stores.
