Fireworks and graduation hats will fill the sky inside Arizona Stadium for the first time in 40 years.
Organizers are putting the finishing touches on everything this morning for tonight, that is one of the reasons no one is allowed inside the stadium this morning, but Tucson News Now was able to get a sneak peek on one of the U of A webcams earlier this morning, as workers were conducting a light check.
Over 23,000 guests are registered to sit inside Arizona Stadium. Preps have been in full force for weeks and organizers have a few surprises up their sleeves.
Organizers are telling Tucson News Now that there will be the traditional fireworks, no confetti though, because of the new turf inside the stadium.
There is another bright side to graduation coming back to the stadium more students will walk across the stage to receive their diploma, a special moment for many families.
Those who are putting the final touches on the graduation are saying many relatives that graduated inside the stadium back in the 60s get to watch family members graduate inside the very same spot tonight.
U of A's spring undergraduate and Master's commencement ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight, with the ‘doors' opening at 6 p.m.
Those attending are advised to head out early, as the area will be packed with very proud families.
