Arizona Baseball opens a three-game series with #10 UCLA tonight in Westwood. Wildcat coach Andy Lopez is shuffling his weekend rotation with Konner Wade and James Farris trading places after 12 straight weeks.
Wade will start for the first time in his career in the Friday night role.
Brandon Dixon leads the Pac-12 in batting (.382), on-base percentage (.455) and stolen bases (30). Dixon is only the fourth player in school history with 30 stolen bases, 40 runs scored and 40 RBI in the same season.
Only 26 percent of UA's position starts have been made by upperclassmen this season (down from 53 percent in 2012).
Joseph Maggi leads all UA players with a .321 batting in Pac-12 games.
Riley Moore leads the Wildcats with a .368 batting average over the last 13 games. Moore has eight two-out RBI in his last games and leads the team with 16 this season.
Johnny Field leads the club with a .384 batting average.
Trent Gilbert ranks second in the Pac-12 with 45 RBI and bats .434 with runners in scoring position.
Arizona is one victory shy of a 30-win season for the seventh-straight year and 11th time in Andy Lopez's 12 seasons at the school.
