Man stopped in San Luis with $344K of meth

SAN LUIS, AZ (CBS5) -

Authorities say they arrested a 47-year-old man who tried to smuggle more than 22 pounds of meth across the border on Thursday.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said a canine and X-ray inspection confirmed the crystal meth inside the rear quarter panels of the vehicle. It was valued at $344,000.

The drugs and vehicle were seized.

Rodolfo Huerta Ramos of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security.
