Portman speaks at LULAC convention

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

U.S Senator Rob Portman was in town this weekend.

The Senator served as keynote speaker at Ohio's League of United Latin American Citizens Convention on Saturday. The annual convention draws hundreds of people to discuss critical issues affecting the Hispanic and Latino communities.

At the convention, LULAC Ohio announced the expansion of eight new councils throughout the state. Two new councils include a women's council and the first LGBT council in Ohio.
