COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A man was arrested on Tuesday after a shooting over the weekend in Colerain Township.

Kendal McBride, 19, was arrested and charged with felonious assault.

On Sunday, police were called to the 3100 block of Lapland Drive just before 2 p.m. Authorities believe McBride caused serious facial injuries to a female inside the home by striking her in the face with a handgun.

He then allegedly shot the victim twice, once in the arm, fracturing her arm, and once in the leg.

The victim was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she remains. Police say her condition is unknown, but the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The incident remains under investigation by the Colerain Police Department Criminal Investigative Unit.
