Crash in north Scottsdale kills motorcyclist

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A motorcyclist has died from injuries he suffered after colliding with a SUV in Scottsdale Sunday afternoon, police said.

The victim's name has not yet been released. 

Scottsdale police spokesman Officer Dave Pubins said the motorcycle was southbound on Scottsdale Road at Dynamite Boulevard when it collided with the northbound SUV attempting to make a turn onto Dynamite.

The collision occurred in the intersection, Pubins said. 

The motorcycle driver was transported to SHC Osborn, where he was pronounced dead, Pubins said.  He added the victim was wearing a helmet.

The accident remains under investigation.

    Border Patrol Agent Jed Eckler was traveling on Highway 92 on his way home from work when he was flagged down by a man and woman with an infant. The woman informed the off-duty agent her son was unconscious and not breathing.
