TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Suspended San Diego Padres catcher Yasmani Grandal will join the Tucson Padres on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa as he prepares to rejoin the club's Major League roster.

Grandal is currently serving a 50-game suspension after he tested positive for testosterone in the off-season.

The Miami, FL product is permitted 10 games to play with a Minor League affiliate prior to being reinstated.

Last week Grandal's teammate Nick Hundley (UA '06) had critical words for the 2nd year Major Leaguer, referring to him in an interview with the San Diego Union Tribune as an "unproven player who had a couple of good months on steroids".

Tucson News Now's David Kelly went inside the Tucson Padres clubhouse and asked players about accepting back a teammate caught violating the game's Performance Enhancing Drug policy.
