TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Employment opportunities are now available for Arizona state parks positions.
Across Arizona, 27 state parks and natural areas are in need of a park ranger, park manager, or park ranger specialist, according to a news release.
Park ranger duties may include rule enforcement, fee collections, work as an interpretive guide, providing visitor services, issuing permits, office and clerical duties, maintaining campgrounds and day use areas, litter and garbage collection, cleaning restroom and shower facilities, moderate level construction work and painting, inspecting and patrolling park grounds, operating a cash register, writing reports and operating power tools and light equipment, according to the release.
Employment is contingent upon medical examinations and requires possession of a current, valid state-issued driver's license appropriate to the assignment. Some positions may require Peace Officer eligibility or certification.
