The museum's Executive Director Craig Ivanyi says, "Since its inception, mountain lions have been the iconic symbol of the museum. So, this event is particularly significant for the museum."

All of the mountain lions that come to the museum are from rescue situations.  Ivanyi said, "The museum's mission of education, conservation and appreciation of the Sonoran Desert and all its species will once again be at the forefront when then public has an opportunity to view this amazing animal."

The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is one of the nation's leading outdoor, living museums, featuring more than 230 animals and 1,200 varieties of desert plants.
