Police searching for UA assault suspect

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police are searching for a suspect who is accused of assaulting a female on The University of Arizona campus today.

According to Joe Bermudez with UAPD, a male suspect approached a female just before 12:30 Monday afternoon in the area of 4th Street and Highland Avenue. He apparently prevented her from entering her dorm and grabbed her thigh before leaving the scene in an unknown direction.

He is described as a white male, between 25 and 35 years old. He's around 6'2", weighing 150-175 pounds, with long, blonde curly hair. He was last seen wearing a long white t-shirt, tan shorts and a blue bandana on his head.

No weapons were seen or implied during the incident and the victim was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
