Granby teen struck by lightning at MacDuffle School on Tuesday

GRANBY, MA (WSHM) -

Granby police responded to MacDuffle School around 5 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report that a student had been struck by lightning.

Police said the 16-year-old girl had regained consciousness by the time they arrived due to the school staff's quick response in performing CPR.

According to police, emergency responders also assisted a 20-year-old male who had been knocked unconscious by the strike. He was conscious and alert when responders arrived.

A 17-year-old also experienced symptoms from the strike.

All three victims of the lightning strike were transported to Baystate Hospital for treatment.

A CBS 3 crew is on headed to the school. There will be updates as we learn more information.
