GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -

A package containing an unknown substance is being sent to a state lab for further testing. Hazman crews arrived at the 3500 block of East Constitution Drive in Gilbert after a homeowner complained of dizziness, authorities said.

The woman called police at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday after the suspicious package she handled made her feel dizzy. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Two officers who investigated the scene were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The package is described as "oily" and somewhat smaller than a breadbox.

Thursday evening, Gilbert Fire Chief Brian Ruffentine said the package had a cell phone accessory of some kind inside, but investigators were not able to determine what the oily substance was.

"We ran as many tests as we could, but what we found was nothing positive for any type of substance that we ran but also nothing negative to rule out what it was," Ruffentine said.

A number of law enforcement personnel were at the scene at East Constitution Drive, including units from Tempe and Queen Creek.
