Want to get away for Memorial Day? Get a break from the heat? Well we have a few spots that may peak your interest. First of all we are not really going to be dealing with extreme heat here in southeastern Arizona, as our highs will be near normal and actually below normal next week! But if you decide to hit the roads and go somewhere fun, here are a few spots to consider.
Las Vegas, a place I would not mind visiting, will have temperatures near 90° and a lot of sunshine through the long weekend. Another hot spot close to home and a great beach location, Rocky Point (Puerto Peñasco) will also see quiet weather. Down on the Gulf of California, highs will be around 80° and overnight lows around 70°. Ample sunshine is expected in all locals, but you'll get your fair share in Mexico. Lets head to another beach location, this time in the United States, San Diego. Of course you'll wake up to the marine layer but that will break in the afternoon and sunshine will be available for the PM time frame. Highs will run a little cooler at 65° but that's expected with the cool Pacific stream coming down from Alaska.
Back to our home state lets take a look at the high country, the White Mountains. It will be a little cool waking up each day this weekend with lows dipping into the 30s, Freezing-No, but close enough. Daytime highs will increase to around 70° with the sunshine; but also be aware of some strong winds each day.
