College student golfing across America stops in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Luke Bielawski, a 24-year-old law school student from Fishers, Ind., has decided to travel across America swinging at golf balls all along the way. He is calling it from "tee to shining tee."

Why is he doing this? Well Biewlawski is trying to raise $100,000 to pay for a dozen scholarships to a small catholic school in Indiana that helps underprivileged kids.

So he is gladly giving up his entire summer to sleep in parking lots and driving in a donated John Deere Gator over 2,500 miles.

It is estimated he will be whacking over 3,600 golf balls. Arizona is one of the nine states the college student will be stopping in. His final destination will be South Carolina with his final shot into the ocean.

The website, Get on the Green, is where you can click to donate toward the goal of raising $100,000.
