Two killed in plane crash south of Flagstaff

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A plane crash south of Flagstaff killed two people this afternoon.

The two victims were on a single-engine beechcraft that had just left the Flagstaff airport, near the small community of Mountainaire.

An investigator says the plane had trouble gaining altitude before it went down about three miles away.

No one else was on board and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
