'Dangerous Dozen' list updated with 2 new fugitives

CLEVELAND (Toledo News Now) -

U.S. Marshal Peter Elliott has released the May 2013 updated "Dangerous Dozen" list of most wanted fugitives for the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. 

Two new fugitives were added to the list this month to replace two that were arrested.

Randy Thomas is an Akron-area fugitive wanted for homicide. It is alleged that Thomas fatally shot a 21-year-old man April 13 near the 1300 block of 8th Avenue in Akron. 

Demetrius Cannon is a Cleveland-area fugitive wanted for homicide. It is alleged that Cannon fatally shot a man after an argument during a dice game May 2.

Since the inception of the "Dangerous Dozen" program in May 2010, the NOVFTF has apprehended or closed 100 of the 110 fugitives profiled on the list. Of the 100 apprehended, 58 were a direct result of the exposure from the media and assistance of the public.

All fugitives of the "Dangerous Dozen" should be considered dangerous individuals and should not be approached by the general public. Learn more on the U.S. Marshal's website.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of a known fugitive should contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED, or text the keyword "WANTED" and "tip" to 847411. Tipsters can remain anonymous. Reward money is available.
