Police: Woman and dog pass after hit by car

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Police say a woman and her dog have passed away after they were both hit by a car in the 3100 block of E. Drexel on Friday night.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. outside of Buggy Wheel Saloon. The victim was then transported to University of Arizona Medical Center, according to Jesus Banuelos with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

The 23-year-old man who hit them is cooperating with police, Banuelos said.

The investigation is ongoing.

    The Tucson Police Department is asking for the public's help locating 17-year-old Anthony Garcia. The teen is described as Hispanic, 5'10" tall, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Although he is in his late teens, according to the release, he has special needs and functions at a much younger age.
