Longview Police investigating two separate shootings

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

The Longview Police Department is currently investigating two separate shootings, which occurred Saturday afternoon.

Authorities tell KLTV the first shooting happened in the 900-block of Spring street around 2 pm Saturday. Police say a female was injured and exchanged gunfire with a male. Both were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

The second shooting happened around 2 pm near the intersection of S. Martin Luther King Blvd and Johnson street. Authorities tell KLTV the victim was believed to have been riding by on a bicycle when shots were fired at the bicyclist. Authorities say that upon arrival to the scene, no suspect or victim was found.

The Longview Police Department is continuing to investigate these shootings and anyone with information is asked to call Longview Police.
