8-year-old boy suffers near drowning at Marana pool

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A 8-year-old boy was airlifted to University Medical Center Sunday after a near drowning at Ora Mae Harn Distict Park's pool.

The boy was found unconscious in the pool around noon, Northwest Fire Capt. Adam Goldberg said. He was at the bottom of the pool for 1-2 minutes.

The boy is currently in stable condition, Goldberg said. He's awake and talking to his parents.

He will be admitted to the pediatric unit at UAMC for observation.

Circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

Ora Mae Harn Park is near the Marana Town Hall, 13250 N. Lon Adams Rd.
